Your Dream Park

In our spring issue, we asked readers to share their ideas about what equipment or amenities they’d like to see at Kaier’s Park on North Main Street in the borough when it is constructed. In no particular order, here’s what they said:

• Open-use charcoal grills
• The star from the top of the brewery as a centerpiece to the park
• Public bathrooms
• A party pavilion
• Handicapped accessible equipment so that all can enjoy the park
• Basketball court
• Slide
• Monkey bars
• A splash pad
• A graffiti wall. A place where talent can be displayed. Or, a wall where people can paint something once or twice a month. You can hold competitions or contests for the graffiti or paintings.
• Fire pits
• Picnic tables and benches
