Coal Cracker is a quarterly print & online youth-led media outlet based in Mahanoy City, PA for children ages 13-18. It is a project of Coal Cracker Kids, a 501(c)(3) public charity, with start-up funding from the non-profit local news support organization, the Community Reporting Alliance. Coal Cracker journalists meet at the former Mahanoy City Lumber Company.
